Envista
I’m bought my envista a few months ago and am having to take it back for a 3rd warranty repair because the AC stops blowing cold. Anyone else have this issue? It’s such a strange and early problem that I wonder if it’s a potential recall issue.

How long between these numerous warranty visits? Evidently they are just refilling the refrigerant & not looking for the source of why/where it is leaking!

Just a couple weeks. The first time they refilled it and added dye to be able to see any leaks. The second time they said they sealed the leak and replaced the compressor. I picked it up yesterday and it never started to blow cold again. I’m headed back for a 3rd visit today.

I bought a envista in 12/23 and when the summer hit immediately started having a/c issues. Mine has a hissing noise. I have taken it in 2 times previous and have a scheduled appointment to take in again next week, previous times the recharged it but said they are waiting on part. Part has not came in yet but it isn't blowing cold again.

Yep. I’ve owned it 2 weeks and it’s bidding and blowing hot air…in Florida in August!

I am! Taking it in next week. Mine is not blowing cold air, compresser is not cycling and it makes a hissing sound when on.

Bought my daughter an Envista at the end of May 2024 and now the ac isn't working. There seems to be a need for a recall for this issue. I'm taking it in to another dealership tomorrow. I took it back to the dealer I purchased from and they said I'd have to leave it for 2 possibly 3 weeks before they could look at it and that was without a courtesy car. Ridiculous!!!

I know people that have dropped off there car it's been two months so far, CRAZY! No free rental car that's nuts! I wounder if your car insurance will pay for it?????

That's exactly what warranties are for: an issue with a new car that shouldn't exist is a covered repair.

You didn't buy a perfect car, and none exist. But you at least have the warranty to make it right.

There doesn't need to be a "recall", either, since it isn't a safety issue. "Loss of AC" does not rise to the level of being hazardous to life or health. You can actually drive a car with the AC off and the windows down and you won't die.

It brings to mind the myths from the mid-1800s where some folks thought that trains going faster than 20 mph would cause asphyxiation.

Agree, that's what warranties are for, but if you sell cars and don't have parts to fix them because everything is on back order (only worried about building and selling) then you have a cars that are setting at the dealership for months, really unknown amount of time according to the service department, and I'm getting no use out of it sitting there. Its 95 to 100 degrees in the south, no one drives around without AC, its not the 1950's. Maybe Buick should put them on lots without AC and see how many they sell. Its apparently a problem with these cars because I've seen multiple complaints about it and all are having issues getting them repaired. Very bad look for Buick. If I would've known they couldn't fix the problems with the car because they don't have parts, I would've never bought the vehicle, warranty is useless with out parts to repair issues.

Your beef is with Buick. I feel for ya! I would be hard-pressed to drive a car in temps like that w/o AC, too.

If it is imperative that it gets fixed ASAP, then you might need to find the part(s) in a junkyard and then deal with GM/Buick later. They started selling in 2022, so they're not that old, but there has to be one or two that have been wrecked, somewhere.

Too, just ran across TSB and problem with condenser filter/dryer service plugs leaking. Could apply to more than 1 model?
