AC Light on

1990 Riviera How can I shut off service ac light without servicing it.

You can try disconnecting the battery, but if there is a problem, the light will come back.

It did. Pulled 10 amp AC fuse. let's see what happens with that.

From what I can tell, the BCM looks at the low pressure switch status to decide if turning on the light is needed. When mine leaked refrigerant, the light would illuminate. Once I fixed the leak I have not seen it since. I assume the low side switch is closed under pressure and open without pressure. So either disconnecting or jumping the switch should turn off the light.
