Compressor kicks on and off, pressure on AC Pro was right, ac pro only checks high pressure side though I believe... It has manual dual zone controls, which I already replaced (with a used unit)

The heat is super hot, but when it's on max ac it still feels a little warm, and having AC on or off makes no difference in temperature.

You need to check both the high/low side pressure. If that checks out normal at ambient temps, you may have a blend door problem.

I've only had a Century for less than 6 months. I think I've seen some issues on the forums where the blend doors or actuators have failed. Did you check that?

Does the radiator fan work? Or is there any difference between hot and cold?

Thanks for the quick and helpful responses! I'm leaning towards a blend door problem since the low side pressure was correct, just seems odd to me that both the left and the right only go down to the same temp. I'm also not sure how the blend door system is setup, do we know if there's like a main temperature door?

I'll rent a set of gauges to make sure this weekend probably, that picture is super helpful!!

It's my fiance's car, and finals season for both of us, so we're a little tight on time, I'll update if I figure anything out! Thanks again!

I'm not aware of any cooling issues, it's not overheating, and the temp gauge seems normal, although I wasn't particularly looking at that

The radiator fan failed in my Saturn. I noticed because the air was not cold sitting at a stop light. The condenser needs air flow to get the heat out of the R134a.

Definitely worth checking! Thanks!

If the engine temp gets to 220+deg the first fan should turn on. Then if you have the dual fans, the second fan should turn on @ 230+deg. If the engine is not overheating and the low side/high side pressures are verified normal, you have a blend door problem between the evaporator & heater core.

Fix it closer to the summer when you need it. Otherwise you may find it doesn't work again when you do!

Does the fan not come on when you turn the AC on, regardless of temperature?

Great idea 😂 but here in South Louisiana it'll probably still be in the 80s and 200% humidity through Christmas

While you have that extended summer the AC actually runs during the winter on most vehicles for the defrost mode, so it's not a single season operating system.

There are two systems shown for that year and I'm not sure what the differences are, but here's diagrams on both and it appears that they both use a vacuum in the unit which can also cause heating / cooling problems if the hoses are not connected or cracked. Can't say if this the problem, but it may be one area to also check.

Thanks for all the help, turn out there's just a slow freon leak, and the AC pro can gauge is not a good indicator of whether or not it is low. The gauge said not to add anymore, but we added 2 full cans and it started cooling again. We added some dye, and it looks like the compressor is leaking a bit. I really appreciate all the info!

If it leaked that much refrigent and that it appears the compressor is leaking, you will need to replace the compressor, orifice tube & accumulator before it gets hot there soon!
