air conditioning compressor clutch not engaging no voltage

There is no voltage on the wire cable going to the ac compressor. I have replaced the relay and check the fuse but still there is no voltage going to the relay. Yet I can short out the relay and the clutch will engage but there is no cold air. It worked fine last summer.

does Anybody have a possible answer ?

Low refrigerant can cause this, the low pressure switch will not let the compressor run unless there is sufficient refrigerant in the system. I'd check refrigerant pressure. if you have to add any get the uv dye blend you may have a small leak that takes years to get to this point. You can locate the pressure switch and jump the connector if the compressor engages I would bet my $ on low refrigerant or a bad switch. (not common)
