Another new issue

So when my tranny gets hot it hard shifts. Been having shifing problems since i bought it used over a year ago.

Now today during my commute, when coming off the highway after 30 mins of stop and go traffic, i pressed the accelerator and i lost some power to the front wheels (when i pressed gas, the engine 'felt' weak) and the stability control light started flashing for a few seconds. Then i let up on the gas, tried again gently and the issue went away.

Then, 3 mins later it did it again. Both times I was at a complete stop and it happened when i began to drive. No error message, just the flashing icon.

Now, i recently installed a wheel bearing on the car. Would the ABS sensor be an issue? Its not an OE bearing but a cheaper one. Or is this purely related to my crappy trans? I did a fluid and filter change 6 mos ago but hard shifting only got worse.

Any insight is greatly appreciated 🙂

I really don't believe it has anything to do with a wheel bearing. I have had both the left and right front bearing replaced, the right being just a month ago, and not with OEM parts. I think they were Moog bearings. I think it has to do with the transmission. Mine does the same thing on occasion, (poor acceleration or a hard shift from a complete stop) but since it is my wife's car, and she has not complained about it, have not looked into it. There is a whole thread here somewhere about the trany issue, and from reading that, it appears the only fix is a transmission job. Big bucks and worth more than the car itself. I keep telling her to take 27 and not the 400, so at least she can park it on the side of the road.

Thanks for the insight. It's the trans. It's unfortunate that so many of us experience this same issue. My trans has hard-shifted since I got it used over a year ago and now it does it more than before.
Just a matter of time before it dies completely and I do not have the funds to pay for the repair.
Interesting to note that my issue with traction control happend at the hwy7/400 offramp. I agree that hwy27 is a better alternative.
