Anyone able to change from ACC to traditional cruise by holding the cancel cruise button?

It took me quite a while to program my memory seat positions - can't remember if I followed the mistaken Quick Start Guide or the mistaken Manual.

Good to know on the ACC stuff you guys. Thanks for the tips.

With ACC on and cruising at highway speeds, I put the pedal down and the car only accelerated one MPH every second or so. Sometimes there was a car in front of me, other times not. Has anyone experienced this?

I haven't noticed that... I have floored it, and the car responded as expected. The ACC icon turns blue.

Yeah it doesn't do it every time. I have my car in storage for now so I'll definitely be playing with it more come spring.

Am I the only one that has the ACC slam on brakes briefly for no apparent reason. Bad for the driver, nerve wracking for the passengers. It just hits those large Brembo brakes hard and releases. Like a panic stop but very brief. I have no fix for this and so my cruise control is useless. 2016 Regal GS.

I haven't had it happen for no reason but I will say it's heavy handed when it decides to brake. It really doesn't ease into them. Maybe check you gap settings...could be it is set for the furthest distance and while you see no reason to brake it does.

My '19 GS performs as @Wlepse describes as well. It has never braked for no apparent reason for me. I am not familiar with the 2016 Regal GS ACC hardware/software setup @Maccannix , but it may be quite a bit different than the 2018+ systems. Has anyone else with your generation had similar complaints?

Maybe a wonky wheel speed sensor?
