Buick lesabre 2002
I have some led Drls and id like to be able to have them on at the same time as my HIDs. I have a Buick lesabre custom 2002. I was hoping someone could inform me on a way to have both the DRLs and headlights on. Thanks.

Also today I installed a sequential turn signal flasher into my tails. I can assist and give a step by step tutorial if enough interest is shown. I haven't seen anything like what I have done and will be willing to share.

The video of the turn signal mod is here: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2NPg8OVEdQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player[/ame]

That is pretty cool, except it looks like the trunk lights don't stay on with the parking lights. The side that is not sequentially flashing if off. I think with the DRLs , the easiest way would be to tap into the DRL wires and control them with a relay controlled from the headlights.

Yea the trunk lights now only come on with flashers/brakes. The far corners are still tailloghts and are always on. Looks different but personally I like it a lot better.

I like it, but I wish that the brake lights had an override so you would get the two outside (brightest) lamps immediately lit when you hit the brake pedal.

At high speeds, every fraction of a second counts when it comes to notifying those behind you that you are slowing down.

So any more details on how you did it? I'm assuming that you bought a module similar to what they are using in the new Mustangs?

I bought the STS-1 turn signal module (http://www.webelectricproducts.com/products.htm)

I then had to send signal wires from the outside lights, to the trunk lights. (one wire for each light)
Once the wires were ran to the trunk lights, I cut the existing signal wire off the trunk lights.
Then connected the signal wires I ran from the outside lights to the trunk lights.
Now If you use the turn signal all three bulbs will blink at the same time.
Then all you have to do is tap the STS-1 Module into the signal wires to offset the blink timing.

**There is an option to wire the brake up with the sequential, like I have, or to make it so they come on at once**
*I also recommend using LEDs lights, as they are brighter and draw less current. I got mine from VLEDs.com*

So, what's the difference between the kit for the early Mustangs and the one for the later models? Which did you use?

Gerald

The early mustang was made specifically for the mustang, the STS-1 universal is made for any car with 2-3 lamps that you want to blink sequentially.
