ASS went away?

Guess it is my turn for the battery.
Trickle charged it to full on Sunday. Took it out for a drive today with the temperature at 51 F.
The ASS never kicked in the entire trip of about 20 miles.
Looked in the owner's manual and can't find the battery is covered under warranty even though it is between the bumpers. 🤣
Yeah, bumper to bumper doesn’t include brake pads, tires, oil changes, or batteries which are considered consumables. I wonder if wipers are B2B or not?

Batteries are covered on the bumper to bumper warranty.

A few members on here have their battery replaced under warranty.
Hence I am very curious on how.

I've had two batteries replaced under B2B. Dealer will run a test and if it fails they'll replace it.

If you want, have AutoZone run a load test to confirm your suspicion. But Buick won't deem it bad until they run the test themselves.

Thanks, mate. Greatly appreciated. :hail:
I shall try to run the test at home today since it is warm.

I am going to Dealership week after next for an oil change, inspection, see about other 30k mi service they're gonna tell me I need.. I noted ASS has not been engaging, hoping they will be thinking it's gonna be another battery replaced under warranty. Hoping, they will diagnose battery issue - In my experience, I don't think they like a customer to diagnose and suggest its a warranty thing. I got this TourX new from this dealership March 2019, at about 34k mi. I'll also be having them look for another vehicle we might put The Admiral (wife) into.

I've never worked directly at a dealer service dept - is there any documentation out there that might help me get this battery under warranty?

Good thought D2, maybe I should give it a run today in the warmth, see if it'll ASS

Just checked, the battery tester says the battery is good but said the SOC is low.
The CCA I set was 850.
Guess it is time to hook it up to the trickle charger again.

Was surprised a few years back when dealer replaced a headlight bulb on warranty.

To follow-up,; The dealer did replace the battery, under warranty.

I went in at 2 pm, they were outta there at 5 pm, so they kept it overnite "to complete the battery test they had to do" (I think they were f'ing the dog, confused, new service advisor, whatever). I did get them to pick me up at home to go get it. And it was under $100 for an oil change, tire rotation, and NY inspection. They did not push to sell other stuff, so I appreciate that. The cashier had me sign the warranty paperwork, but wouldn't give me a copy (I recall seeing about $400 on that). But, I got a new battery, and documentation that they replaced it under warranty. ASS has returned, so I'm back to reading expected stop time and using manual-mode when I expect the stop will be less than a minute

I’m glad you got your ASS back

Thanks all. Anybody know what that battery replacement at the dealer cost would have been if not under warranty? We'd like to buy this TourX out, wondering what battery(s) expense might be in the future

Costco now has Interstate for TourX $175.99 plus core or charge... 3 year war.
