back up beeper...

I'm sure this is a common issue...
My back up beeper almost sounded like the battery died.. but it wasn't like a slow painful death.. It just made one weird whining noise and stopped working.. Where should I start to look to fix it?

lol... I was hoping for some advice (check this wire,fuse etc.) I know I can go to a dealer ship.. Every time I do it costs me a ridiculous amount
