 I've inherited a '93 PAU with only 75K miles. Rear brake lines had rusted out and burst. Replaced them with NiCopp tubing and "like new" brake proportioner valves garnered for $8 a piece on Amazon. The section from the Master Cylinder to just past the firewall was not rusted horiffically so cut and double flared union from there to the rear drum brakes. The struts were also rusted and bladder blown out on passenger side so replaced with Monroe Sensa-Trac 71798 "like new" for $50 a piece from Amazon seller "Closeout Inventories"

I began bleeding the lines using a hand vacuum pump kit attached to the surprisingly working bleeder valves which I removed and cleaned. After tightening the numerous double flare unions (I went in sections to mount the NiCopp tubing in the original brake line brackets) I discovered the leak is coming from a rubber hose attached at the drum brake axle from what is apparently an electronic component.

The coppery line above is the incoming brake line which connects to the brake hose. Adjacent to it is the mysterious leaking line that runs from what seems an electrical connection at the axle from the rear of the brakeplate.

This rubber hose runs briefly parallel to the brake line then runs up along the trunk where two wires emerge from it and connect with a similar line from the other rear brake at an electrical connection the purpose of which I've no idea. This line is leaking brake fluid profusely and I am baffled as to its purpose.

When changing the strut the line was stretched perhaps too far but I don't see how brake fluid can be the effluent.

My mother notes that I am a failed Christian but why would God visit this upon me?

I appreciate any help in this regard.

Oh, one other issue is that on the passenger side rear tire no brake fluid is emerging from the bleeder valve at all even though it pulls strong vacuum and there is brake fluid when I break the line at the brake line/hose interface. This is also beyond puzzling.

Electric parking brake mayhaps?
I don't see any parking brake actuator cables.

I have never heard of an an "Electric parking brake" on an '93 PAU. It looks like the wheel cylinder hose/pipe is leaking on the parking brake cable, giving the impression that the cable is leaking?? This would require an onsite inspection to confirm.
