Blower Motor Resistor Module

I have a 1990 Riviera w climate control. Blower motor does not work. I disconnect wires at module and bypass and connect the 2 larger wires together and get Hi fan speed only. Does this mean that the module is not working?? Also is there any way to rebuild one of these modules as they are so expensive.

The module is sealed in epoxy and not serviceable. You can usually find a good used module in a JY for about 50 bucks. If you choose this route, be sure the used one has the 4-pin 2-pin configuration. If you want a new one, the link below may be the best price.
