Hi all, just wondering if A) the 2010 Buick LaCrosse has Bluetooth audio capabilities so I don't have to plug my phone in every time, and if so,B) how to configure it.

I can take phone calls while in the car no problem, but when it comes to music, I'm struggling. Thanks!

Our 2010 Buick LaCrosse CXS does have Bluetooth. The setup is available on the menu when the car is in Park gear. However, while my step–son's iPod was able to connect initially, after a software update of the iPod a few years ago, it has no longer been able to connect through Bluetooth.

This is one of the problems with the fancy electronics in vehicles: the lack of automatic, over–the–air updates. Even after a major service visit recently, there is still no connection to his iPod.

There was a thread awhile back that indicated that neither the 2010 or 2011 had bluetooth music streaming, however it could be added by changing a module (PDIM?) and they gave instructions to do it. Search the archives for "bluetooth" and you'll find it. I was interested because my 11 does not have it either.

Bluetooth audio streaming didn't become available until some late 2011 models forward. For some inexplicable reason, that did not extend to 2011 or 2012 models with navigation. If you have an Intellink screen, you should have bluetooth streaming.

Upgrade the Radio to UHQ. It'll be a bit of work.
Search for Navigation upgrade.

For those with the base radio (2010-12) you can have a pdim (p/n 20985753) added through the dealership. This will add bluetooth audio streaming and USB connection to the stock radio. You may have to call around to a few dealerships to find one willing to install it though. You can install it yourself and just have them reflash the radio to save an hour of labor.

It sounds like it would be easier and more cost efficient to just replace the factory radio with an aftermarket unit and also install proper wiring harnesses and modules to keep the steering wheel controls. Just my two cents.

Install this in your center console, then you got blutooth for music.
