Buick Lesabre AC problems

Hey everyone. The AC in my 1997 Buick Lesabre has stopped working entirely. It used to work on and off occasionally, but now it has totally stopped working. I already replaced the blower motor, which did nothing. What are some other things I can check? Any other major parts that frequently go wrong?

When you say 'stopped working', what specifically? Cold air, airflow, etc.

Manual or auto climate control?

airflow has completely stopped. it has auto climate control.

Do you hear the fan running? If not, can you manually switch via vent button to where the air comes out?

Can you feel the two metal tubes running into the firewall - not the heater hoses but the a/c lines - one should be warm and the other cold - probably will have condensation on it.

If you're not getting a cold line then even if you get the fan running it won't be cold air.

Have you checked all of the A/C fuses?

There is also a fan motor resistor that needs to be good for the A/C to work.
