Buick Ownership
Buick LeSabre 2005
Hey guys,
I'm new to the forums and was looking for some help. There's a few things wrong with my 2005 Buick LeSabre that I was hoping someone would have some solutions to.
1. Cruise control is not working.
My cruise has been out since my dad got the car before me at 28,000 miles. However, none of the buttons on the steering wheel work (cruise, radio controls, ect.) I'm guessing this is all related, but if not, cruise control is what I most care about.
2. Horn doesn't work.
Going along with that, about 6 months ago, at around 60,000 miles, my horn started making a whining sound. Then about 2 months ago, I accidentally hit my panic button and the horn went off about 7 times, then never again.
3. Both of my front windows roll down, but do not roll back up straight.
I believe this is the window regulators, unless anyone else has had similar problems and it's a different solution.
4. Need a good place to buy parts.
I need a new center console top, it broke off, a center cap for one of my rims, and a right side passenger corner speaker cover.
5. Last but not lease, when I turn or accelerate, I get either a whining sound or sometimes a whirling sound from the right front side of my car. Any ideas?

I feel like this is far too many problems for a car with only 62,000 miles on it, and I would love some help in diagnosing them so I can begin to get them fixed, before anything else falls apart.
Sincerely,
A beginning to be very disappointed Buick owner

check out rockauto.com for replacement parts.

the whining sound you're hearing might be a bad wheel hub.

Welcome to the forum, bensbuick.

Sounds like you have a build-up of problems there!
- I don't know what the steering wheel electrical problem might be, but do some searches on "Buick Lesabre clockspring".
- The window problem is most likely the regulators, like you said. New ones are around $50 and it is an easy job. Lots of info on the web.
- I would try a junk yard for things like the console cover.
- If you search on "buick lesabre bad wheel hub symptoms" you may find some good info on your front-end problem.

Good luck!

Gerald

The sound when you turn or accelerate could be your power steering pump.
