This car has always had this since I bought it over 5 years ago, never really thought anything of it as the functionality of the car hasn't been compromised. I have developed some electrical issues over the years and am now starting to wonder what was the intention of this electrical job and if it can have any effect on my other components.

Electrical Issues:

High beams turn on whenever I turn left.
Rear turning signals have blown (both sides)
  • after replacing the left side I noticed the right one was also blown along with its fuse, don't believe that was there before
This lead me to look at this fuse box and noticed one of the 10 AMP fuses they rigged up has also blown.

I'm going to replace it but I want to know whats going on with this whole set-up and why they may have even done this in the first place.

No idea what someone else did. Follow the wiring to the source may help on what they are for.

On 08 and above the fuel pump fuse and relay would short out and the true repair was a new rear seat fuse box, but again no knowledge of what someone else did.

The fuel pump relay is still in there, and doesn't look burnt. As you say, the answer is at the other end of those wires. With any luck, the car is prewired for cameras.
