Can I block my lower heat vents permanently so AC only comes out the middle?

My vent flow only switches from defrost to middle and lower no matter what the heater head unit says. Thanks

blocking them won't work. There is a door sometimes 2, that traffics the air flow, you would have to open the door for the dash vents in order for air to get directed to them. You might be able to remove the actuator\solenoid and move the door and lock it in place somehow to get it to come out of the dash.

It was a bad vacuum switching valve, 5 min fix.

You may have a vacumn leak (bad hose, broken check valve) the first thing to check is the cruise control, does it work? If no cruise, it is 99% likely it is a vacumn problem.
