Car has left me stranded again

Hello everyone got another issue with my 2000 PAU left the bank this morning and tryed starting the car it cranked then went click and all lights went out I waited ten minutes and same thing happened again and then after that I couldn't even turn it to get any lights on , I had a friend come boost me it started up fine I drove 8 blocks to my place parked the car the lights starting dimming real bad my battery gauge was going haywire especially when I put it in reverse . Parked the car turned it off then tryed starting it again and nothing no lights on just click and dead. My guess is alternator this car is 13 years old and who knows if it's ever been replaced , battery is brand new. Anyone have any suggestions ???! Thank you. !!

If you determine it's not the alternator there's a chance you have something going to ground. Is it wet outside when this happens?

Bad connections.

Good call Al! I was under the assumption that would have already been checked, but you never know.... Clean all the the connections you can!
