CAR HELP, PLZ!!! I have an 03 Buick Century - the Service Engine Soon light came on

yesterday.? Don't have a lot of money saved, and wondered how long I can let this go before taking it into the shop? Just took it on a 1700 mile road trip (got back last Tuesday) and had the oil changed about 3 weeks prior to that. Is this an indication of something major? Any ideas appreciated - thanks for your help!!

Go to your local autozone and have them scan the trouble codes for the problem. They will do this for free and let you know what the general problem it is.
