heading to work one morning doing 65 and the thing just shut off, had to coast to the side, would crank and acted like it wanted to start but wouldnt, had towed to shop, put on a machine, they said bad maf sensor, and fuel pump they said it was putting out pressure but no volume, i had towed to my house, let set 2 weeks,, then went out and it started right up, let it idle for half hour no problems, next day i get in it going down highway 3 or 4 miles, shutoff again, like someone just reached up and turn key off, would crank but not start after that, had towed back to house again, bought a actron fuel pressure tester, with key on it putting out 44lbs, went to junk yard got used pump and mass air flow sensor, replaced those parts, started it up fuel pressure was 45 to 46 lbs using sharder valve, so i drove around block few times, next morning started it up and and i was holding throttle down at 3k rpm, and couple mins later it just shut off, wouldnt restart, no engine light on either, need help on getting car running again, 3.8 series 2 buick regal

fyi before all this happen, i dont remember code, but there was one code saying somthing about cadilac converter, but no light on as off today

Did you figure this out yet? It seems like you were heading in the right direction. you should drive the car with the fuel pressure tester on the car and see if the pressure dips. On other makes (worst case) I have seen catalytic converters come apart and from exhaust pulse pieces find there way into the exhaust port and destroy exhaust valves. I would not risk it and use a j yard pump its possible the one you got could be bad. Ive seen new non oem parts bad out the box.
