Disable Automatic Stop/Start

Can you unplug the harness for the hood and not use this $135 harness?

No, you'd have an error for hood latch open and car will be in the reduced power mode.

Just read in the Range Technology start stop disabler guide that there might be a battery drain & to unplug the device if the car isn't going to be driven daily. Has anyone experienced a battery drain issue ?

I ran one for well over 2 years before putting Trifecta tune on my Tourx. I never experienced a battery drain issue with it plugged in.

Sorry if this is redundant, but I'm new to this issue.
If the warranty impact is not a concern and I need a permanent solution these are the choices that will require some expense?

1) Install the Smart Start/Stop module, needs some simple wiring.
2) Plug in the Range Tech OBD II module, has to be unplugged when not in use.
3) Reprogram the ECU with the Trifecta Performance Mod, requires technical tools.

I have been using the Range and obd plug in module for several years now.
Occasional it will allow the start stop to initiate at first stop but it then it performs as desired.
I only unplug it when the car is not going to be driven for several weeks.
You also need to unplug & use normal operation for a while before emissions testing.

I still have an Axxess AXSSO-GM Start/Stop override module for sale. I’ve been trying to sell it for 3 years, since I bought my Trifecta Tune with permanent disable.

The AXSSO module plugs into the hood’s wiring harness and then has a wire that connects to the positive terminal on the battery. It worked flawlessly when I had it installed. I posted pics showing how it was done. Takes 30 minutes max.

I paid $105 IIRC, and at this point I’d love to get $50 for it but any reasonable offer will not be refused. Send me a DM if interested.
