Does anyone know how to remove these?

Got the same question: Are the external ugly plastic trim pieces around the wheel wells removable?
glued, fastened with clips, or indeed screwed in place?
(not sure I understand the above posts: OP wants to remove them for tinting, then re-instal?)
If I can’t get mine off and in the dumpster, I may consider painting to match the body color, not sure removal would be necessary: A good body shop should be able to spray with the pieces in place...?
Don’t have the X yet, will cross that bridge later, but those pieces look hokey and out of place on a previously elegant Wagon:

Thx, just what I was looking for.
Joined the club this evening and did not search before I posted.
Found the ”Paint my cladding“ discussion and will probably go that direction.

This is key. This group has discussed most every question about the body, suspension, fuel octane, tuning, infotainment, software, auto start/stop etc.

Please search that info. If questions still aren't answered, feel free to post up new questions.

...and welcome! It looks like you are considering a TourX. They aren't perfect, but its a good car, and you will find people on here happy with them. Just get it before its too late.

Speaking of too late:
Got this message from Buick today, looks like they plan on selling 2020 TourX Wagons.

2020 is the final model year. People on this forum that tried to custom order MY20 have had their orders cancelled. They want to flush out inventory and fill out their planned builds.

Yeah, tried to custom order a 20 as well, the Build and Price section works, but when talking to a dealer about ordering the actual car, no cigar..😡

There's a thread in here somewhere about this. {looks like I was slow to post, glad others posted links to multiple threads on this} Agree the pic you posted of the Opel version looks more elegant - the US version going for a different look. We recently had the TourX in the Adirondacks on a (kind-of) back road, and that cladding likely saved some metal from damage. But I know these things trap dirt, sand, salt, etc.wheel ADK.webp

Best case is to find a 2019. There were incentives and has longer warranty than the model year 2020.
My model year 2020 custom orders were cancelled and I went with a 2019 by going out of state to bring her home.

Although, some 2020 are starting to come to the dealers, but they are unlikely custom built ones.
For example, I posted one of them in another thread.

Yeah, agree and noticed the warranty is different.
Also found a -19 out of state, signed the purchase agreement this morning and waiting for them to
call me for a cc deposit.
Probably pick it up Wednesday or Thursday next week.

Make sure you verify the mileage.
During my research to purchase phase, I have observed quite a few dealers using the wagon as courtesy vehicle then selling them as new cars. All those miles accumulated by who knows who they are and how they have treated the car.

Yeah, the contract says 42 miles, will have them verify it verbally today.
thx.

You may want to make them update the contract once you test drive it. A few miles are a few miles when it comes to warranty. 😉

Not only that, but the manager said the battery had died from the car not being used.
i will demand a new batter, not just a charge 😡

@ sined240 thanks again for the pictures, knowing it was an easy reach through the wheel well got me to take care of this even though it got chilly again.

Anyway for those that are looking to change the bulbs or tint these you will need a T15 driver and a small flat head screwdriver. Turn the wheel all the way to the left to get the right side and vice versa for the other. Then there are (3) T15 screws in the fender liner. Once these are out you can pull it out just enough to get to housing as sined240 showed. Then slightly push up on the tab at the bottom while pushing out slightly. Once it pops you lower it to clear tab at top. Finally push the red locking tab back then I used a small screwdriver under the edge of the connector to help it clear the detent.

At this point you can change bulb or tint. I still suck at tinting but being able to wrap it around the edge helped make it look a little cleaner. I did use a heat gun to get most of the wrinkles out. I am satisfied with this at least time spring, now the new side turn signals seem to match better.

Instead of tinting, I am thinking about changing that to clear lens, given the European origin of the vehicle.
But to my surprise, the German Insignia does not have the side markers at that location. In fact, it does not have any side markers at all.
Pretty sure that is a EU requirement.
So, I started looking at European Cadillac and see if the part seen in link below will fit.

That's exactly what I wanted to know, looks good, hoping I get a chance to do the same on mine soon!
