Does your Buick compass go crazy?

i bought a 08 Lucerne several months ago. Once in a while the compass goes crazy, flipping between headings. Then, suddenly settles down and becomes accurate. Anyone else have this problem and any idea what might cause this? I'm wondering if things like high voltage power lines might cause a magnetic disturbance. Thanks for any thoughts you may have. Maybe your dealer never calibrated it for your area.
