Door ajar

My car is giving me the door ajar warning. I opened and closed all the doors to try to get it to go away. I noticed that the lights go off when all the doors are closed but the radio turns off and the windows don't work as soon as the car is turned off. What could cause this sort of computer issue?

I suppose it would. It's a 97 park Avenue.

This sounds like the BCM (Body Control Module). You might try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few minutes to see if that has any effect. If not, this would require professional diagnosis with a Tech II scanner, which usually requires a visit to the dealer.
