Drivers side door problem

I bought a used 2015 regal sport and I’ve been noticing that it takes more than one pull on the inside driver’s door for it to open after I’ve been driving the car. Sometimes after two pulls it opens then I close the door try again and it works the first time. Most times it’s two before it opens. Any ideas?

Was the car in an accident?
Other than that door panel would have to be removed to determine cause.

No accidents. What I don’t understand is when I’ve ever had a door break it’s broke every time not just the first time I pull the handle then work. I’ll just have the CarMax I bought it from look at it as it is under warranty I’m just not sure how much I trust them to do anything. Thanks for the response.

That's a setting in the system that controls that.
Nothing is broken, that is expected behavior.
If you don't like it, then change it.
Mine is setup that way.

Yeah I’m an idiot I was watching it and it unlocks the door on the first pull them opens on the second. Thanks for your time and the quick response!

Why is the door locked? When you go from D to Park it will automatically unlock the door. A setting option.

Well I guess going from drive to park it doesn’t unlock it stays locked and first pull unlocks second opens. If it should unlock going from drive to park what should I look for? I imagine if I tell CarMax that it should unlock the door going from drive to park they will probably give me the run around should I just go to a Buick dealership?

Did you go into Settings, Vehicle?
Did you look in owners manual, Personalization?

I have not looked at the manual but after you say that it makes since I will pull the manual and start reading.

That was it. It was the setting I needed to change ain’t it amazing what you find in the manual. Thanks again for your help!

It's a "safety" feature for those that feel unsafe if all the doors unlocked just from engaging PARK.
