Drivers window problem

I have a 94 RML, and replaced the window motor after the window would barely go into the "up" position. I also replaced the plastic "football" with the round replacement from Dorman. (Someone had replaced the motor previously).

I am having difficulty in getting the window to move correctly. Going "up" it stops about 4-5 inches above the sill at the bottom of the window. If I manually help it "up", it will move, but it won't correctly align. There seems to be about 1/2 inch forward and it will "Rock". I have lubricated the channels and it comes down like a rocket, properly aligned.

My suspicion is a tweaked regulator. Any help would be appreciated!!

Hello all and I need some help. 1994 RML, driver's door. I replaced the motor due to very slow operation. Well, that was not the problem. The window is "tight" about 4-5 inches from the door sill, as it goes up. If I manually help it up, it goes up but doesn't align correctly. The window can be moved almost a half an inch to it's proper location. (Someone has been in there before) I can't align it correctly. I lubricated the weather stripping and channel (desert car).

I read the manual, but I am stumped. I'm suspicious it's a bad or warped regulator. Very open to ideas..
