Took the rear bumper off and took the exhaust ports out and painted them. Painted the back of them to keep them from rusting.

How about you mail me those, since they are already done and I will mail you mine to get more practice?

Looks good, i am already tired of trying to keep that area clean.

Looks good!

I got my Regal at Sellers in Farmington Hills too!

Thanks Guys. Most important part is.................the wife likes it! 😉

Now you can spend more time detailing the wheels! I gave up cleaning those inserts too, and rather the smoked-out "I wind this thing up like it's meant too" look.

any how to on the bumper removal.. I looked under there and decided it would be best if I did not touch anything. lol

I did take a few pics, they are kinda grainy. I could throw something together. It was rather easy, 6 screws, 3 plastic clips and 6 wing nuts that hold on the tail lights.

How are the tips held on? From looking underneath, it looks like there are 2 torx bolts holding each tip onto the bumper on the bottom. Are there other bolts or fasteners holding the tips on that can't be gotten to without the bumper coming off?

I am starting to get some rust spots on my tips and rather than go to a dealer/service department (I would rather shove rusty razor blades down my urethra first), I would like to paint mine like you did.

Also, what kind of paint did you use?

There are 2 lower & 2 upper screws. I would say that the 2 upper are not reachable without taking the rear fascia off. The paint I used was POR15, I bought it for my truck, but the rust was so bad 😡 I decided not to use it on the truck.

Here is a pic of the 2 upper screws.

It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to take it off. I can do it in about 10 minutes.

looks great!

I plasti dipped the entire port as part of doing all the chrome on my car black. Since its a lease I have to be able to put back to stock easily. I did EVERYTHING on the car that was chrome except the window trim. Wheels, Hood vents, and the rear trunk badges incl the trim across the back all look really great. The exhaust and wheels where "have to's" and the rest was just for fun
