I'm finally buying a buick regal gs. its 2019 with around 40k miles I have a couple of questions though.
The Carfax is clean, but it states three things I'm cautious of.

1. It says the Front Struts were replaced at 33k miles

2. it says the evaporative emissions vent solenoid was replaced at 25k miles.

3. battery/charging system checked a couple of times, (but I've actually seen this on multiple regals carfax reports)

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Welcome to the forum!

To me, just sounds like a few quirks the owner wanted sorted out under warranty. I have had my fair share of minor issues with mine, but nothing to really worry about. But to answer your questions...

1. Odd... haven't seen or heard of anyone having issues with any suspension components outside of the lower control arm TSB.

2. Probably just one of those weird issues that pop up with any modern vehicle. Sensors and solenoids for everything... they're bound to fail here and there.

3. At 40k miles, that's fairly low usage for the year. I, myself, have had the battery checked at the dealer because it went dead once. My GS is sitting at 27k miles. These cars do not like to sit for long periods of time (even just a month) without being on a battery tender. If you daily it, you'll probably not have battery issues. As a whole, the electrical system is quite sensitive about having the correct voltage. This is not out of the ordinary.

My experience was in a colder environment the battery will have a shorter life. I had mine replace under warranty while living in MN but here in Savannah Ga it's been much less impacted.

is the lower control arm a common issue?

LCA was an early recall/fix - well documented on this site. I think you can check the VIN to see if it was in the batch affected.

hmmm its not showing a recall for this car for the lower control arms, but it falls in the category according to the VIN because the K******* number on mine is K1004154 where in the bulletin it says up to K1010312.

I would think the service could still be done at no cost if it has not already been performed. Just provide the TSB to a dealer and they shouldn't give you any fuss.

2018 here with 82k. Runs like a brand new vehicle. Highly recommend.

hey everyone thank you for you responses. i finally bought the regal and have some questions, here is a link to that thread!
