Front wiper blades recommendation

I started using it around 2005 and on my LGT rain would stream off like no other product I have seen. I can't really describe it but it was nothing short of amazing. Kind of a pain in the ass to apply but once on it lasted a long time. The last batch of it I got seemed a bit easier to apply but results were only marginally better than a fresh RainX treatment but it did last longer. Not sure if I got a bad batch or they changed the formula.

Funny enough one of my wipers started coming apart today randomly. Time to replace em

I just bought ac Delco hybrid blades for mine from rock auto. $10 per blade. They are excellent so far. I bought my 2018 regal in March and supposedly the dealer had put new blades on but they left lots of streaks.

Am I the only one who never has wiper problems? Two and a half years with my Tour-X and just as long with my other car, STILL ON ORIGINAL WIPERS.

1. I never use Rain-X except;
I sometimes dab a little on the corner of a rag and clean the scum at the end of the wiper swipe. Also, I clean the blades with Rain-X. Never wipe it over the whole windshield

2. To clean windshield, I first clean with any good cleaner. Then I go over it with ICE Spray Detailer. (Not Spray Wax as it smears). Then go back over windshield again with a good cleaner -I use Safeway. Wiping with newspaper is better than cloth. I often just skip the first cleaner and Detailer and just clean with Safeway once. The detailer stays on glass a long time. If windshield gets really cruddy, I’ll first clean with Colgate Toothpaste, or better yet, Bartenders Friend Cleanser. Then follow up with regular cleaner.

Smooth swipes. No streaks.

You are the lucky one then😉. I have purchased wiper arms from LaCrosse to test different wipers with OE mounting points- to see if they are going to be any better. Because driver's side is a constant issue for me. It seems like a spring is to strong for it and it is getting rubber collapse at the mounting point.

Try the ac Delco hybrid blades. They solved that same problem for me.

Yes, you might be the only one.

What size did you get for the passenger side? 18" or 20"?

I got the 20 inch ones - that's what rock auto said was the correct size. Seemed to match what was on the car from the dealer.

I'd give them a try.

You probably already know this but ac Delco has a few different styles. The ones I got are specifically labeled "hybrid" on rock auto.

On another note....doesn't rock auto's website design bring you right back to 1995?

Sure thing - I stopped by O'Reilly autoparts today, as they were supposed to have these. But gentleman told me that he can't even order them🤣🤣🤣. So going back to 1995 tonight to place an order online😅

One more question. Did you order OE, gold or silver line?🤔

Never mind - they had only the gold ones. We shall see if they are going to work for me.

Also trying these out. I was a bit concerned that they were the same style as the wipers that came on the car from the factory, but closer inspection of pics shows they are different.

Here’s to a $25 try for streakless glass!

Are you referring to the ones I posted? If so, let me know if they work for you. Same for uniqez.

Will definitely do. Mine are coming next Thursday. So, fun fact- people in UK are having exactly the same issues. They are going with some domestic brand to fix it - but design is pretty much the same as ACDelco ones.
