I think he's asking if after you calibrate it, does it JUST fix the "full" problem, or does it "shift" the needle to the left across the WHOLE range. (what used to be 1/2 is now 1/4....kinda stuff)
It shifts the needle across the entire sweep. Empty should be more accruate, along with Full. On my Roadmaster, it would be about empty at 1/4 tank. on the caprice, as soon as it hits the red, you are f*cked.
