Fuel Gauge Calibration Kit

I think he's asking if after you calibrate it, does it JUST fix the "full" problem, or does it "shift" the needle to the left across the WHOLE range. (what used to be 1/2 is now 1/4....kinda stuff)

It shifts the needle across the entire sweep. Empty should be more accruate, along with Full. On my Roadmaster, it would be about empty at 1/4 tank. on the caprice, as soon as it hits the red, you are f*cked.

I've found an even cheaper fix than this! 🙂 You can simply pop the sending unit out, and clean the resistor, it's super easy...if your super careful, I used some Electronics spray stuff my grandfather had laying around, and some extremely super-fine sand paper, and very gently, lightly sanded the varnish off the wire, works like brand new. 😀 and no cut up wires. 😀

Hello I am having the same problem with my 93RMW however my car is just decimating the fuel everytime I fill up it burns like lightning, what might be the problem?? o2 sensor?? any help would be great, Thks Jeffnyc

I think this may be the wrong thread for you man, this is about fixing improperly functioning fuel gauges. 🙂
