Gas mileage sucks!

not yet, been busy with restoring my mustang. o2 sensor will be next in line. and checking rear brakes for drag. it gets pretty frustrating watching the fuel guage go down as fast as it does. tomorrow is gonna be 56 degrees, so it will be a good day to troubleshoot.

well, after changing 2/5 coil pack, new plugs and wires. I got 401 miles!!!! until I had to fill up again. it took 17.4 gallons to fill so it was damn near empty.

On my '98 I had two spark plug wires, on the same coil, that would occasionally arc. The arcing damaged my coil and my mileage dropped from around 28, to around 16.

If you haven't replaced the spark plug wires lately, it is good insurance to do it.

Glad your mileage is back. Thanks for sharing your solution with us.

Have you checked your brakes? Could be one is dragging slightly.

I agree. After a good drive with minimal braking stop and check your wheels. they should be only slightly warmer than the air if at all. If one is significantly warmer than the other it could be a stuck caliper (if it uses disk brakes all around)
