My 2018 Sportback Preferred II comes without the upgraded Bose Audio System. While I don't expect it to sound as good as the Bose, I was wondering if there were any upgrades to get a clearer (not necessarily louder) sound quality. Would upgrading the speakers or perhaps an amplifier make any difference? Or would it be a waste of money?

I have the Bose, so I'm not sure if your stereo has it, but the Bose has a three-band equalizer. Perhaps, if you have this, you could tailor the sound to better suit your preferences. Since it would cost nothing, it's worth a shot.

General rule of thumb is speakers to improve most factory sound systems since they are usually cheap paper ones.

Even if I replace a left and right channel of a primary speaker, I was hoping it would reduce distortion and give it an improved sound. Still under factory warranty however. Need to check w/ Buick about that. Thank you for your input! 👍

I recommend Infinity Reference 6532ix. They are well matched to the factory amp and are very efficient and clean on low power. They will not void the warranty.

I also recommend sound deadening. I am getting ready to do some as well... to compensate for the near tires. All of the sound from the tires is coming from the rear compartment.

I have done just that already. And going to tackle the doors next.
