I am not sure on the clear coat, but I would assume so.

Yes they replaced them no questions once he looked at them. The service order said customer satiafaction 1 time replacement! They do look similar to polished aluminum but it is a thin chrome coating. They were corroded on inside edges where grit and brake dust is most prevelent.
I saw a post about the hood insulation shrinking and a service bulliten but can't find it now, anyone know where i can find it? Thanks.
