LOL, if that's going to be the case, I'll do it myself.
A boring drill bit maybe all that they are gonna do. 🤣
If they have to replace the whole bumper, that might make it rattle. 🙁

Not the whole bumper, but just a center cladding.
Part goes for around $140, but as far as I can see, it is the same for all trims.

In other words, they might just order the new part and see no holes. Then drill it.

Here is an update here:
went to a dealer for LCA, service manager told me that it doesn't need any holes for the sensors to work. Kick his foot under the left side of the bumper and the trunk went up 😱 . Now, he said that hole is definitely missing for a projector and they are going to take care of it, once they have LCA and car will be up on the lift for LCA replacement.
Now me thinking: why do you guys have more than on hole in the bumper? Is that for something else? Part of DC1 or DC2 sensors?

This is curious. The projected image is in the center of the bumper, not on the left side. I’m surprised the service manager could make it work.

Imagine how I was surprised there? He moved his foot under left side and it works..... I was like: What??????
No projection on the ground, no holes..... Most likely sensors are ultrasonic and they go through the plastic no problem....

So I’ve also had issues getting mine to open, and like others it will work 1/10 times. So today I watched a random YouTube video and I think I found the secret. The reason the double or triple kick works is because you lose your balance and step away from the car. The sensor must be sensitive enough that you need to take step backwards. Either it doesn’t want to hit you, or the motion isn’t good enough until your foot is REALLY out of the way.
With the new method of one kick, and then step back my success rate is excellent. I’d love to know if this works for others!
