Headlight rear light

So tonight i was driving and a deer ran out infront of me, i tried slowing down and missing it but unfortunately he caught my left side headlight and everything broke. Also have minor bumper damage. Anyway, my tail light on that same side isnt working now. Is it all electrically connected and because the front light isnt working it wont work ?
(Side note, everyone in the car was fine. Unfortunately deer didnt make it)

Check for a blown fuse or bulb, may or may not be connected.
