Hello! Glad to find a forum of fellow Buick fans.
I recently ran into a problem - needing a Body Control Module - and finding none but salvage.
Does anyone know of a source for either NOS or
remanufactured BCMs for a 2003 Park Ave Base?
Thanks for your help.

There are (2) things to be aware of when replacing the BCM on your 2003 Park Avenue.
1.) Procurement: I just looked and there seem to be plenty available on Ebay. It's best to get the part number off of your existing module to ensure you get the correct one. It looks like the part number will likely be PN 1624584 but its best to confirm. According to what I can find, your BCM should be behind the glove box (which makes it easy to access).
2.) Programming your VIN into the module: I'm 'fairly confident' that the replacement module will require the VIN to be programmed into the embedded serial EEProm or your car will not pass the security check when you try to start the car after installing the replacement BCM. This basically involves opening the replacement module, connecting to the EEProm and reading the contents or image from the EEProm, change the VIN to match your VIN, then write your image back to the EEProm. I've done it for my 2000-2005 Buick LeSabre's. Its not difficult and doesn't take very long to do but you have to have an adapter clip that will connect to your EEProm, a prom reader & software. If your not interested in programming the VIN yourself, I understand a GM dealership can do it for you and I hear they charge $150.

Thank you very much for your assistance and instructions about the BCM. I’ve run into a snag with my part number-9385329. Seems the rebuilder whose store is on eBay doesn’t rebuild the part that I need.
Can anyone recommend a good rebuilder who
could rebuild my malfunctioning BCM?
Thanks for your help!
