Help. Dead battery, jumper cables set off "siren" alarm

My 2019 TourX Preferred has been sitting for several weeks and it appears to have a dead battery. I had to use the key to open the drivers door. The battery has around 3 volts according to a volt meter I have. When I hook up a battery charger the siren starts going off periodically. After I disconnect the battery charger the siren continues to go off a couple of more times.

Any ideas/suggestions on how to charge the battery without the siren going off? The horn doesn't sound but there probably isn't enough power to sound it.

Disconnect the neg battery terminal and charge the battery while it isn't connected to the car's electrical system.

I was going out to do just that.

I spoke to the dealership and the service department said once it is "siren" mode it thinks the car is being stolen and the only option is to take it to the dealership.

Essentially if you have a dead battery and have to use the key to open the door the Security system is not disabled so the siren will go off when you try to jump start it.

I did that once, PIA to open door with key. I didnt try to jump, since was home and charged with battery charger. Probably jumping it was why you had issue with security system and I didn't. But just guessing.

I'm not so sure that is the case, seems kind of strange only the dealer can reset it, maybe read pages 49-51 0 in the owners manual and go through the stuff especially on page 51. Worth a try.

I did that once, PIA to open door with key. I didnt try to jump, since was home and charged with battery charger. Probably jumping it was why you had issue with security system and I didn't. But just guessing.

Actually I was trying to hook up a battery charger when the "siren" started going off. Reading the manual and other threads about the "siren" it appears that if you have to open the door with the key it does not disable the alarm. When I first hooked up the battery charger there still wasn't enough power getting to the electronics to allow me to unlock the doors with the keyfob. I am using a 10 amp charger in maintenance free battery mode.
It might be the case that jumping from another vehicle would give it enough power to either start immediately or turn on the car electronics. The way the car is parked I cannot get close enough to jump start it from my other car.

Disconnected the negative terminal, hooked battery charger up and let charge for 2 hours. Car started after a few cranks, at first I was afraid it wouldn't start. I am getting a battery reading of around 13.2 volts. It goes up to 14.8 v if I rev up to about 3500 rpm and hold it.
I am going to let it idle for a while to get a decent charge on the battery.

Now to cancel the service appointment at the dealership.

I am going to let it idle for a while to get a decent charge on the battery.

I would say don't cancel the service appointment.
If the battery got down to 3V, the battery is most likely a goner.
