Hello everyone!

First time ever posting so apologies if its all over the place!

I've had my 2015 GS for just over a year and have LOVED it ever since my test drive. However, a few months in and I start having small annoying issues.

Timeline:
  • February 2019 – Park Assist Off randomly comes onto my dash as I am driving or coming to a stop, took it into the dealer that month.
  • March 2019 – I hit a MASSIVE pot hole on the highway that bottomed out my car, damaged my side skirts, bent my rim and bulged my tire – Mechanical said there was nothing mechanically wrong (Thank goodness!)
  • April 2019 to present – FOB not always detected. Door won’t open sometimes unless I press unlock on my FOB at least 3 times, same for remote start or when I press the start button. I actually got LOCKED OUT of my car once – luckily a family member was able to come with my extra FOB.
Most recent Major Issue:
  • December 23 – Turned on my car and instantly received a “suspension service required” message. I didn't even put it in Park yet.
I’ve brought my car to the dealer for the part assist and FOB issue 3 times to no avail. The dealer kept telling me “the issue doesn’t happen with us”.

I recently had my car scanned by a friend who has a dealer type OBD reader – found more codes than expect but not enough to yield other lights on my dash, ALSO the FOB code is there....

Codes Found:
  • B3109
  • B3110
  • C0590 - suspension code
  • U15E1
  • U150F
  • B3110
  • B3109
So much time has been spent wasted at the dealer, with no resolution.

I do have the GM extended warranty, so hopefully all issues found are covered.

I’ll be bringing in my car tomorrow for the suspension issue... But I was wondering if anyone has deal with any of the issues noted above. Were they undetected by the dealer? How did you deal with the issue? Or if anyone has any advice on what I should do or can do.

I love this car and hope to have it for years to come.

On my 2014 GS, I have had the "Park Assist Off" show up randomly (but very rarely) when I am slowly rolling to a stop for traffic etc, but I think it could be because in those instances I had shifted to neutral as well. Maybe?

I have also had a few occasions where I stop at a store and come back and then the push start will not work. I get the "Remote not detected" or some message like that. I then bring my key fob close to the push start button and it immediately fires up when I press the button.

I have not taken to the dealer for either of the above issues, but I also don't have any CELs.

Thanks for sharing!
I don't have a check engine light, thankfully. That only issue that is persistent is the suspension, comes on everytime i turn my car on.

The FOB issue the dealer just kept on blaming radio frequencies. I listed all the area it has happened to me and he stopped talking.

I'm taking my car to a different dealer, so maybe I'll have some sort of update!

Check the condition of the cars battery terminals and maybe even consider replacing it.
Might want to get a new key fob battery.

I've changed the batteries three times in 8 months.😩

First and foremost, my apologies to all who have replied for the very delayed update! I appreciate everyone submitting their thoughts.

1. Suspension - This lovely problem was my rear passenger strut module. The dealer couldn't specify the cause exactly, all they said is that the module stopped working resulting in the suspension service light. (She drove so rough then was back to her normal boat like self once replaced!)

Remedy: Replay the WHOLE strut (thankfully it was under warranty).

2. Key Fob - I told the dealer the amount of times I changed the battery but they put "their brand" in and after going to either side of the car and consistently having issues with the driver side, discovered the driver door handle sensor was the source of the problem.

Remedy: Replace and repaint the door handle.
Down Fall: Issue is just starting to happen again and I'm out of warranty 🙁 Might have to call the dealer to find out the warranty on the part

3. Park Assist - The dealer "never had it happen in their possession" thus never got fixed. I still stand firm that it is a wiring issue. It doesn't happen consistently but I find its doing it more at the temperature rises, which poses a condensation concern and erosion. However, it just happened for the first time in months the other day so I think I will just deal with it for now.😅
