Glad I found this forum.
We were attempting to remove the right front strut but the lower bolts at the knuckle just will not budge.
There are two of them, apparently grade 8 steel, and if we can get these bolts out, installation should be a breeze.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.
FYI the car lived most of its life in the northeast, unfortunately.

Soak with PB-blaster, then try using a 2-lb sledge hammer with a large punch to drive them out. If you have a torch, you might want to that to apply some heat.

The only thing we didn't do was apply heat. We had them soaked in blaster, and beat the crap out of them with a sledge to try to get them out. We kept the nut on the bolt, so we wouldn't destroy the bolt itself and, man, those things would not move a centimetre. At all, after countless attempts to knock them loose.
I don't think that even if we apply heat that we would be able to get them out, which really leaves me wondering how a mechanic is gonna get them out if I have to pay someone to do it. They are seemingly unable to be removed via traditional methods. The nuts on the bolts gave the impact wrench quite a challenge, we had to manually break the nuts free before the impact would even touch it. I assume the mechanic will just cut everything out.
Edit: It's a 96 LeSabre, 244,000miles and I really can't tell if the strut has ever been replaced.
