I'm going to be getting a new car but am still very sentimentally attached to my '95 Riv. There is one of those typical self-storage facilities within a few miles. The largest is 10' x 20' at $175 / month. Very honestly, of course, I'm wondering how often I'd have my wife drive over there so that I can get the Riv out and bring it back home to use for a few days or for however long. The big problem is that I don't have the garage space at home for 3 vehicles without really inconveniencing myself. I have had a local guy who has always been interested in buying the car being that he had one many years ago, so that presents a nice option to sell it to someone I know real well that would take good care of it and also it'd be garaged.
So, I was just wondering if others out there are so committed to their cars as to pursue this storage idea? The facility I'm referring to is strictly for storage - does not allow for any space to work on the car, also I don't think they're climate controlled nor have electricity.
