I just traded in 2021 Envision for 2025 ENVISION, Shud plastic cover stay on HUD device. It's hard to pull off...

Here is what Google AI says:
Yes, if there's a protective plastic film on your new GM Head-Up Display (HUD), you should remove it.
This film is meant for shipping and transit protection and should be peeled off to ensure the best viewing experience and proper functionality of the display. You can usually gently lift an edge with your finger and peel it off slowly and carefully.
Some users have experienced difficulty removing the film if it's stuck or very thin. If you have trouble removing it with your finger, you can try using a thin object like a small plastic scraper or a piece of tape to get a grip on the edge. It's crucial to be gentle to avoid scratching the display itself.

If you decide to use a plastic scraper to help pick up the edge of the film (as is referenced in the search), I've had good results with this scraper, not on a HUD but with other similar coverings.

HUD trim removed without any problems with device and removed plastic cover by using plastic trim device
snapped trim off and pulled plastic off device. Trim device supplied by son. Everything works fine..

Quality of these new HUDs is phenomenal.
