2003 Regal,LS 3.8L Supercharged, ignition switch won't turn.
This all started when my wife went to a local store, stopped
the car, and a restart failed. Then she couldn't remove
the key. Calling a service for a jump restarted the car. After
returning home the key could be removed. The next morning the
car wouldn't start nor could the key be removed. The following
day a new battery was installed the key was removed and now
the ignition switch won't turn. Two keys tried no luck. They
are clean and not worn. Less than 40K miles on the vehicle.
Also, the steering wheel has very little side-to-side motion.
Question, other than a bad ignition cylinder, what mechanical
or electrical subsystems could cause this?
