Buick Ownership
2015 Lacrosse
I have a 2015 Lacrosse and when I purchased it I thought it had android auto, apple play, projection, etc. because I looked at another one that was the same model, same year, same color and it had all of those apps but I chose mine because it was from a private owner and the miles were low, price was perfect and it had a full transferrable warranty. Can I get an update so my radio can have those same apps?

Go to GM Navigation system, and it will ask you your make and model of your car, and it will tell you if it has an update on it, and how much it cost.

Is that a website? Just want to make sure

Yes but it's for Navigation updates not adding features.

You need to buy new hardware and software. It would probably cost $700 or more by the time you are finished. The LaCrosse that had Carplay and Android Auto was most certainly a 2016.

Old post I know but figured I would add my experience here in case anyone finds it useful. I still have a 2016 LaCrosse Sport Touring. It came factory default without android auto but apple car play enabled. There is a TSB about the infotainment update that was free for a couple of years from Buick. I took mine to the dealer here and had them perform an update to the infotainment. Navigation updates specifically are separate and require the hundred-dollar USB stick with your VIN. All that does is update the maps and speed limit etc. XM service is required for traffic construction and accident information. That service is around 2-6 dollars a month or was at the time I tried it. I'm unsure about previous model years as 2016 was the last year before the total redesign of the LaCrosse. Mine specifically has FAB or forward assist braking and adaptive cruise. Six speed transmission before the switch to the nine-speed in 2017 if recalled correctly.

In 2017, The Buick LaCrosse Premium AWD was equipped with a AF50 AISIN 8 Speed Transmission for 1 year only, the 9 speed transmission went into the 2018-finished us run in 2019.

That one oddball year for the sedans eh? I suppose it goes along with the SUV's where the powertrain changed over as well. I assumed since the sedans with GM generally get features or updates faster than the SUVs that 2017 had what my 2018 Enclave ended up having in design/powertrain. I've had a 2015/2018/2022. I had a 2012 Acadia that I liked until the redesigned and nerfed them hence going with Buick instead. I like the six speed but I also like the nine speed. It really keeps that heavy enclave up in the band and fairly quick for a naturally aspirated engine. I really wished the Avenir lines were similar to the old ultras with superchargers. I would have jumped at the last production model lacrosses perhaps.

I have a 2017 and don't even have a systems button or settings :-/

Really? Must've been optional. Navigation is an eyesore on mine not like the newer ones which is fine since I have Waze or Google maps up instead.

Do you have mostly lcd cluster and a center screen? Navigation?
