I have a 2013 "Premium" (Turbo) Verano, it is about three weeks old and has just short of 500 miles on it. I've been pleased enough with the satellite radio that I think I am going to keep it when the trial subscription runs out. So today I decided to take advantage of the numerous saved station slots and put in stations so I'd be more likely to try stations other than my favorite two or three. I found that the procedure for saving a station worked great, and filled my first three screens with stations. I moved on to the fourth screen, and the save feature appeared to work, when I pressed and held the button on the save slot, a message that my station had been saved would fill the screen, but the station that was installed there from the factory would still be there when the message went away. I found that this would happen whenever I tried to save a station on pages 4, 5, and 6 of the favorites. I went back to the first three screens, and changes would save fine. I checked my config to make sure I had six save screens authorized, and I did.

I took the car to the dealer and asked for help. The dealer rep confirmed what I had found; he couldn't save on pages 4-6 either. He had a good idea, and changed the number of save pages to three in the config, then changed it back to six pages, but this didn't help. He is making an appointment for me to see the service department Monday evening after work, he suggests they will probably try a factory reset (my words to summarize what he described, not his description) of the infotainment software.

I came on home, and played with the screens a bit more at home. A friend I spoke to about it suggested trying the idea of reducing the number of pages to three as the dealer rep had done, then shutting the car off and restarting it after a few minutes before returning to six pages. This didn't offer any improvement, and in fooling around with it I noticed something alarming--I am positive I was able to save stuff on the first three screens initially, but I find now that I can only save stuff on the first two screens!

Has anyone else seen anything like this? It was hard to dream up search terms, but a brief effort at searching doesn't show anything in the Verano Forum.

Do you have Navigation? That seems to reduce the functionality of the Infotainment system.

I have navigation, my understanding is that for the 2012 models you had to choose between nav or Intellilink, but we don't have to make that choice for the 2013 model. We'll see what happens Monday.

After my Verano spent an afternoon at the dealer, the problem is solved. Nobody else here reported such a problem, so I assume it was a glitch unique to my car.

How did they solve the problem?

Their responses to my questions were vague, but my impression is that they did a "factory reset" of the infotainment system. When they took the car, they warned me that I'd lose all my favorites set in the screens that worked (which I did, though the dealer had gone through when it was returned to me and put something into every save slot to verify that it was working).

Unrelated point--They gave me an Impala with 52,000 miles on it as a loaner for the day. Riding in it made me appreciate my Verano more!

Sounds like they disconnected the battery and reconnected it again and your ability to program 6 pages of favourites came back. On my other car, the cruise control just stopped working and I read in the forums that some had the same issue and just disconnected the battery for 1 minute or so and reconnected it and the cruise control worked again. Sure enough, I tried the same thing and my cruise control has worked flawlessly since (happened 4 years ago).

Disconnecting and reconnecting your battery has the ability to reset alot of weird electrical problems and is always worth a try before heading out to the dealer especially if it is out of warranty.

Good idea, you are probably right!
