My 2000 Century sat for > 1 year with dead battery. AAA jumped the car and instruments jumped from zeroes to maximum several times. The car started and AAA determined the battery had to be replaced. Battery was replaced and I went for a drive. None of the instruments work - temp gauge, speedometer, and fuel gauge. Check engine, security, trac off, low fuel lights are all lit. Car runs fine. PRNDL indicator is also out. Checked all fuses in dash and under hood. Any ideas?

With some basic hand tools and help from YouTube you should pull the instrument panel yourself. For everything to go out all at once points to a connection problem with possible corrosion on some of the pins. I'm a Copier/printer technician by trade and sometimes merely disconnecting and reconnecting a circuit board or component can fix the problem. Keep it simple and possibly save yourself some money.
