My manual cautions against using commerical cleaners and preservatives on the interior leather and vinyl surfaces. I have always used products (Armorall, etc.) from Advance and Auto Zone on other vehicles with no problem. My Regal has ebony interior and I don't want to damage it in anyway. Has anyone used any commercial products on theirs with no ill affects? We absolutely love our new Regal.

I have not had the Regal long enough for it to need cleaning but with my last 3 cars, I used cleaners and treatments specifically marketed for leather. I never liked Armor All on my seats and doors because it made them slippery.

Have to agree, I would use a real leather cleaner for the leather surfaces. I never cared for the slippery, oily finish of Armor All on the plastics either. I have not cleaned the interior to that degree yet, but used Meguiar's products for plastic on the previous Passat with good results.

Most all manufactors use a "coated leather". On my Corvettes and with the Regal I
use a mix of water and Woolite. Never have to worry about staining the coating with
that mix. 5 parts water to one part Woolite
