Interior Parts Availability - Need Help

Today November 3rd 2015 I have discovered that GM is not making seat trim parts for my 2008 Buick Lucerne. As a note the part I am looking for is 20954443, this part is the passenger side outer seat trim piece in Cashmere. The driver side piece is still available. I is for the 6 way power seats not heated model. I have called my local dealer, The GM Customer help number. Many online GM part dealers, they all say that this part is no longer made and is SOLD OUT! (I was told by one that is was made into this year!)
GM has a design problem with this specific seat part for the front seats. When you sit in the seat this plastic piece is deformed and over time may crack. It then can snag clothing. I am trying to find a way to get GM to make this part available again.

I would start looking for a good part in the salvage yard. You might be forced to use a part from the optional seat....just get the buttons and glue them on.
There is some chance that the part from a Cadillac DTS might be the same.

Go to university, get a job in the mail room, and work your way up to President and CEO. Make the part available again. MAy take some time. Otherwise, do as txbarney suggests.
