Intermittent AC/Heat fan after changing control module

So recently my blower fan started only turning on sometimes. This has started happening more and more frequently and at random, the fan seems to work fine when it comes on, leading me to believe it was the control module. I changed that out today, and after just two starts it was back to the fan not coming on at all.
Mind you, this is happening at all fan speeds, if the fan comes on at all it will work at any speed but when it does not come on with the car it will not work at any speed.
I'm stuck here, I'm thinking I'll try the blower motor itself but I don't have much money to be throwing around unfortunately.
My only other thought is to replace the climate control module (the unit with the climate buttons in the dash)
Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated since it's winter and having no heat is not going well lol.
P.S. if you need to get a control module make sure to the one with fins and not the one with poles, for some reason rock auto shows both fitting but only the fin style one will fit as seen in the picture.

The problem seems to have been solved. I replaced the blower motor and my issue has gone away. Very strange considering everything pointed to the resistor being bad.
Another note for anyone else changing the fan; there's multiple available and you want to make sure you get one that has the white fan blade, I tried a cheaper one at first, it had black fan blades and turned out to not fit properly. (See attached image)
It's also super easy to do, had it all done in about an hour
