Hi
The link to the free chilton library seems to not work anymore... Does anybody know another one ?

I imagine such things will tend to cease remaining available as they become public in such a fashion..

Those links are dead to me too, I used to be able to access it.

I get this message:

"Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "Unauthorized Access" on this server."

I think it's because I'm in Europe. Are you also outside the US, Frago?

If yes, It's possible they disabled any traffic outside the US on the site. A possible workaround is to try a VPN program that sets your IP address to a US location.

Or if you need something specific feel free to ask me as I have the 1991 service manuals (more info than Chilton, I compared them while I still had access) so I can send you pages that you need.

Hopefully Chilton is better than Haynes. I once opened a Haynes manual to a section on air suspension, which is what I had bought the book for, and found it to say "Bring the car to a professional mechanic!" What a waste of money! No wonder it was sealed with cellophane! Damned book wasn't cheap either.

For a car from the 80s or 90s one would be best to buy a dealership service manual. Unfortunately for newer models this isn't an option as most of this is to found on computer now for the technicians.

@Andy91
Yes, in France...
Ok i will try with a vpn...
Thx

As the VPN may be the answer, the location that is being accessed may also be down because of recent weather conditions here in the US, just a FYI.

As said Andy91, it works with a VPN located in the US.
That was the good idea 😉

Hi I was wondering if I could get a copy of the AC section of the service manual?

Look at the post

? Not sure about this here. But may want to include removing PS pulley as some units come with out.

It's a joke about how detailed the manuals are ofteb times. Like diagram, bolt sizes, item location, proximity etc all help

Ahhh, I'm old and drive a Buick so slow sometimes LOL.

I actually only use Chilton if on the phone as it's handy, not great but handy if not home. At home is the full blown GM dealer program that covers 1980 to 2009 GM vehicles along with the Tech2 it's helpful for troubleshooting.

Seems like the free links are gone all over. Many library's do have auto service manuals in the reference sections on premise.
