Lost my only key...

......feeling like an idiot. I bought the car used with only only one key and associated FOB. I lost the key in my house. The car is in the garage so the key has to be on the premises somewhere. I've spent hours looking for it. It is now day four of not being able to use the car. Good thing I have another car.
I initially called the dealer and asked if they had a key in stock. They said yes. When I got there (45mins away) they realized they only had the blank without chip....aarggh!
So I bought a key blank with chip and an OEM remote FOB at remotesandkeys.com.
What do I do now?
I imagine I have to go back to the dealer and have the key cut,.
What then?
Keep in mind I can't drive the care to the dealer.

I think I'm out of luck on this. I will probably hade the vehicle towed to the dealer for big$.
I hate security shi#.
If I'm able to drive the car again, I will adopt a new policy - key stays in the car. Won't be locking it. If somebody wants it bad enough they can have it. So much for security features.

If you go to the dealer with proof of ownership they should be able to cut a key off the tumbler codes associated with that VIN. That takes care of the mechanical side. You'll still need a scan tool to program it.

What year is the le Sabre? Is it the 2004?

Does the turn key on and let the 10 minutes run till security light goes off 3 times program The chip into the computer's list work for this case?

Have you checked all pants, coats, shirt pockets for key? Under edges of car seat?

I had to call in a AAA favor once and lock smith came and cut and programmed a new key

So i was being fatalistic. I hadn’t recieved the key with transponder when i made that last post. I got it today and zoomed off to the dealer and got it cut. I have not received the FOB yet which begs the question- i imagine the FOB needs programming as well?
I understand that the computer in the car will come up with a new id code making the old id inoperative…..hmmmmm…so you really can never make a duplicate?
How will i program the FOB when i receive it?
Should i wait until i get the FOB before reprogramming the key/transponder and it will happen automatically?
I speculate the cat knocked my original key off the kitchen island into the trash which i took to the dump in my other car or……it fell out of my pocket into the toilet while i was “resting” and it’s now my holding tank. I have Checked everything, pockers/shirts/tol boxes, couch.
