Buick Lucerne CXL 2007
I checked a few threads (Remote 2 not working) and (RKE not working) for help, but I am unable to pair any key fobs. I have 2 fobs, including the original. I think it may be in part due to having a poor battery connection that was just fixed, as I had to jump the car to get it started until I had my battery connection re-connected by my local auto shop. (the negative terminal was loose, per the shop? no idea) I think the jumping may have messed with the keyfob system as the battery likely died or had a surge during a jump, and I do not know enough to fix it.

I have the same issue as listed: "...when I try to relearn remote keys, instead of giving me an activate label, it just blinks once and goes back to the same screen." Sometimes it will beep once, but it does not hold. Otherwise, the car runs as expected. It starts off-rip every time now, which is much better.

I am not sure what to do, and I figured I should ask here before going to my local dealer, as this may be fixable myself instead of dropping $130+/hr for them to only maybe be able to fix it. Any ideas?

I have replaced the fuse in F35. It had a bit of corrosion, but only surface level; Replaced with a fresh fuse. No difference.
I unplugged the box in the trunk with 2 connected cables, leaving it for a few minutes, then reconnecting. No difference.

I ran an OBD-II scanner, this was the output. (VIN removed for privacy reasons)

Hopefully this helps with some of the problems:

U0214 code the one that may require you to troubleshoot.
From Google

Common Symptoms
Keyless entry not working
Power windows malfunctioning
Door locks acting erratically
Rough idle or vibration (in some cases)
Tire Pressure Monitor (TPMS) issues
Causes

RFAM/BCM Issues: The Remote Function Actuator (RFA) or Body Control Module (BCM) itself might be faulty.
Wiring Problems: Damaged wires or corroded connectors in the communication network.
CAN Bus Errors: Problems with the Controller Area Network, which allows modules to talk.
Low Battery/Power: Weak battery or poor power/ground connections to modules.
Software Glitch: Corrupted module software.

How to Diagnose & Fix
Check Fuses & Battery: Inspect related fuses and ensure your battery is strong and terminals clean, as low voltage causes many issues.
Inspect Wiring: Look for damaged or corroded wires and connectors, especially around the BCM (often behind the dash) and RFAM.
Clear Codes & Test: Clear the U0214 code with a scanner and see if it returns after a test drive.
Module Reset/Reprogram: A technician might need to reflash the RFAM or BCM software.
Module Replacement: If all else fails, the RFAM or BCM may need replacement, which is a significant cost.

I'm curious I have a 2007 and what box are you talking about? Anyways if you have high milage you may need to check the fusebox under the back seat and in the engine bay for green moldy stuff and clean it with crc electric cleaner, os something. A good visual inspection. Good Luck!

they are referring to the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Module (RCDLR); its the box in the middle of my picture. (the picture is inside the Trunk; the RCDLR is attached to the underside of the rear parcel shelf.) the RCDLR is basically what receives the signal from the RKE Transmitters when you push any of the buttons on them and locks/unlocks the doors, opens the trunk, Initiates/cancels a Remote Start Event (if its equipped with RPO Code AP3) or activates the Panic Alarm. (it also started pulling double duty starting in 2007 when Active TPMS became mandatory equipment due to the TREAD Act by receiving the data transmitted by the TPMS sensors inside the wheels)

I was talking about the RCDLR. I checked Fuse 35 which did have some on it. Replaced with a similar fuse, no dice. Maybe some electric cleaner would help, yeah.

Much appreciate for the follow up, thank you. 😎

A number of people have had good luck with unplugging and plugging in the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Module (RCDLR). It is hot all the time and it resets it (apparently). LeSabres seem prone to this.
